BNB Participation Requirements and Commitment
Participants in BNB must be at 18 to 30 years old and have one to three children. Preference will be given to current students or graduates of the New Beginnings High School Program.
Custody of child at least 50% of the time.
Having a job and/or going to school are required for living here.
Agree to meet with your mentor two times a month.
Make a minimum one year commitment with the possibility of a one year extension.
You and your child are the only people who can live in your apartment. Overnight guests are not allowed.
Attend BNB classes when offered (about once a week). Meet with public health nurse once a month. Meet with mental health support as needed.
Once your application is accepted by both BNB and Carver County CDA, you are required to attend 3 two-hour orientation classes sponsored by BNB. Once this six hour training is completed, you will be eligible to move in.
